Terms of service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Life Wrapped (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. License grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Life Wrapped for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service.

All sales are final

All purchases made through the Apple App Store, including the “Cloud AI” in-app purchase, are final. We do not issue refunds ourselves.

Life Wrapped offers optional integration with third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic) using your own API keys. This is the “Cloud AI” summary option, unlocked with a one-time “Cloud AI” in-app purchase. Your API usage is billed by the provider, separately from that purchase.

Your responsibilities

By using the BYOK feature, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

  1. API Costs: You are solely responsible for any costs, charges, usage fees, or overage charges incurred through your API provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or others).

  2. Data Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the personal data you choose to send to third-party AI services, including transcripts, summaries and notes. The privacy policy lists exactly what the app sends.

Our rights

Life Wrapped and its original content, features, functionality, design, and branding are owned by the developer and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The source code is published separately under the MIT License; that license covers the code only and does not grant rights to the Life Wrapped name or branding.

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

Effect of termination

Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
